I have checked out Oregon books at the local library and there was some VERY interesting things about Oregon that I learned in those books. Until I moved to Eugene, I never knew that this is where Nike was founded and I didn't know that Eugene was called "Track Town." A lot of interesting history is in this city/state. It's also nice when people share stories about things that have happened here and friends share info about certain places or histories. I found TONS of freebie newspapers, as well as tons of books covering so many subjects related to current events, the culture and history of Oregon.
